From first-time runners to confident young competitors, Spirit Run’s kids races are designed to create exciting, encouraging and memorable race day experiences for every age group.
5K RACE
Mile
A fun race for age 7 & older to run, jog or walk designed for fairness and confidence building.
5K WALK
Kids take in the scenery in a relaxed, family-friendly 5K walk through Upper Newport Bay, ideal for participants wanting to enjoy the Orange County coastal race atmosphere without the pressure of competition.
COMBO (5K + 1 MILE)
Double race entry for kids age 7 and older.
For competitive kids to take on two events – 5k plus the mile – to maximize their Newport Spirit Run experience.
Kids Beach Dash
A safe and exciting dash down the sand for ages 4–6.
Kids ages 4 to 6 enjoy a fun first race experience, a safe, exciting and fun dash down the beach next to the bay and the expo in the Newport Dunes Resort!
Toddler Trot
A safe and exciting first race experience for little runners.
Designed for children aged 3 and under, the Toddler Trot takes place inside the race expo area within a secure enclosed space. There will be multiple starts so the little ones can enjoy the experience over and over again.
